Innovate Here

Being innovative is about looking beyond what we currently do well, identifying the great ideas of tomorrow and putting them into practice.

Innovate Here is for educators who are trying new ways of doing things in their learning environments - whether in an early childhood setting, a school, or in further education or training.

Here you will find high quality tools, templates and guides to help you get started and to share your new approaches. You will also find other like-minded practitioners who are looking for new ways to improve student learning, enhance student engagement and wellbeing, and ensure successful transitions and pathways.

The sections of this website are based on the Department’s Innovation Model which describes innovation as a process:

  • identify a need for something new
  • learn from others – adapt and enhance existing ideas
  • plan and run your trial
  • share your ideas.
