New Graduate Incentive Program

From Term 1 2017, Victorian government and Catholic schools will use the new Victorian Curriculum F-10. Curriculum related information is currently being reviewed and may be subject to change.

For more information on the curriculum, see:
The Victorian Curriculum F–10 - VCAA

Financial assistance is available for schools experiencing difficulty attracting high quality graduate teachers to teach in rural and regional schools, and difficult-to-recruit curriculum areas.

Eligible schools can promote the availability of an incentive as part of the employment package when advertising vacant positions.

If you're a graduate teacher, you can search for jobs offering an incentive. See: Apply for a job with a new graduate incentive

Funding

Incentives valued at up to $11,000 are available to eligible schools to enable them to provide new graduates with a cash payment as part of an offer of ongoing employment.

Three incentive types are available:

Category 2: Provincial and outer metro growth schools - Incentive valued at up to $7,000.
