Rural Scholarship Program

From Term 1 2017, Victorian government and Catholic schools will use the new Victorian Curriculum F-10. Curriculum related information is currently being reviewed and may be subject to change.

Scholarships are available for rural and disadvantaged Victorians commencing a course that provides a pathway into an undergraduate Initial Teacher Education (ITE) qualification.

A limited number of scholarships are also available for rural candidates commencing a postgradute ITE course.

Who can apply

Applications are invited from rural candidates who are commencing a course that leads to an initial teacher education qualification.

Applicants must:

  • live in rural Victoria
  • be commencing one of the courses listed below
  • demonstrate an interest in working as a teacher in a Victorian government school.

Application dates

Applications open 1 November 2017.

Applications close 31 January 2018.

Applications received outside of these dates will not be processed.
