Bastow Institute of Educational Leadership’s mission is to extend leadership capability, and to promote continuous personal growth in dynamic leadership roles.

Bastow’s professional development courses are designed to build the capacity of leaders in schools and early childhood settings.

Bastow also provides a library of resources and materials centred on educational leadership.

Statewide Vision Res​​ource Centre

The Statewide Vision Resource Centre offers a highly regarded calendar of activities and resources designed to improve skills and knowledge in the field of vision impairment.

The Centre's professional development programs are open to Visiting Teachers, class and subject teachers, integration teachers and aides, family members, students, associated professionals and members of the wider community and provide opportunities to learn about blindness and low vision including educational implications and teaching strategies.​

Victorian Deaf Education Institute

The Victorian Deaf Education Institute (VDEI) offers high quality training and development for teachers, professionals and support staff working with deaf and hard of hearing children. This includes professionals supporting deaf and hard of hearing children with additional needs.

Each year VDEI enables hundreds of professionals, including mainstream teachers, teachers of the deaf, audiologists, speech pathologists, psychologists, and speech and language support staff, the opportunity to build their expertise in providing learning support to the 3000 Victorian school aged children and young people with a hearing loss.

The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is a statutory authority for the regulation of the teaching profession in Victoria. VIT run professional development resources and support programs for teachers.

VET Development Centre

The VET Development Centre provides professional development activities for vocational education and training (VET) staff located in public, private and community training organisations. Our annual Professional Learning calendar targets current and emerging workforce development needs of the sector in response to changes in the VET landscape. Two calendars of activities are produced by the Centre annually, consisting of over 90 professional development workshops, seminars or webinars to ensure responsiveness to government priorities and stakeholder feedback.
