Manufacturing is one of Victoria’s largest industries. Most of the state’s manufacturing companies make components that are used by other manufacturers. Specific industries within the manufacturing sector include food, metals, motor vehicles and parts, textiles and wood products. Below is a video to assist students to understand the occupational health and safety issues that may arise in the manufacturing industry prior to going on work experience or structured workplace learning.
