The constantly changing nature of the construction industry distinguishes it from other types of work.
People with many different skills may be found working on a construction site; builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and tilers are just some of these. Almost a quarter of a million Victorian workers are employed in construction. In this video, we look at the occupational health and safety issues that may arise on a construction site that is building a tri-storey development. Students are encouraged to watch this video prior to going on work experience or structured workplace learning in the construction industry.
