Recognition of Service to Retiring School Councillors

Each year the Department recognises and acknowledges the significant commitment made by parent and community members who, in the role of school councillors, have voluntarily contributed their time, skills and knowledge to support school governance in Victorian government schools.

The Department awards Certificates of Appreciation to retiring school councillors in the Parent and Community member category who have served five or more consecutive years at the same school.

The certificates will be distributed to schools for local presentation during the 2018 Victorian Education Week, which will be celebrated during 20-26 May. Nominations are now open and close on Friday 27 April at 4pm.

Principals can nominate eligible councillors by completing the nomination form (docx - 102.63kb). Please email the form to school.council@edumail.vic.gov.au
