Resources for Self-Managed Networks
As of Term 3, 2012 networks and network activity is the responsibility of principals.
These self-managed networks provide the opportunity for schools to work more flexibly with network design and activities to best meet the particular needs of students, networked schools, and other stakeholders.
In encouraging the establishment of new networks, between schools, across sectors and with business and the community – or the continuation of existing effective networks – the Department recognises that there will be a range of network approaches and corresponding activities undertaken within them.
These resources have been developed to assist principals in identifying which types of networks may best support the requirements of individual schools and network partners, as well as support network activity and governance arrangements.
