The management of safety and security within schools is paramount to the effective administration of schools. The department delivers a range of services to schools in relation to emergency issues and crime prevention as well as preventative measures in the areas of health and safety to protect students and the community.
Reporting criminal damage and other incidents
If a member of the public sees criminal damage or incidents occuring at a school, they should contact emergency services (police, fire brigade, ambulance) immediately.
Schools are required to report incidents involving property loss, damage or personal safety. To contact the Department's Security Management Unit, see Emergency and Security Management (Edumail Login and Password required).
