From Term 1 2017, Victorian government and catholic schools will use the new Victorian Curriculum F-10. This page is currently being reviewed and may be subject to change.
For more information on the curriculum, see:
The Victorian Curriculum F–10 - VCAA
Victorian government primary schools that accept enrolments from international students have to meet the International Student Program Quality Standards. This ensures the welfare and education needs of these students are met and maintained.
What you will need
To enrol in a Victorian government primary school as an international student, you must:
- submit an application form
- attach the requested documentation, including a copy of the childs current Australian visa and passport details, to the application form
- pay the relevant fees
- be accepted for enrolment by the school.
The type of application form and process undertaken to enrol an international student in a Victorian government school is largely dependant upon the type of visa the student has for their stay in Australia.
