Learn About a Technology

Information and communications technology (ICT) is the hardware and software that enables data to be digitally processed, stored and communicated. Technologies can be used in a classroom to access, process, manage and present information; model and control events; construct new understanding; communicate and collaborate with others.

The following content highlights information about technologies that are being used to enhance teaching and learning in Victorian schools. Below each description of a technology or application are actual examples of implementation in Victorian schools.

Schools who would like to feature on these pages are encouraged to contact the Innovation and Next Practice Division’s Emerging Technologies manager: cohen.daphne.c@edumail.vic.gov.au
