Innovative technologies play a key role in motivating and inspiring students to learn. From iPods and wikis to blogs and multimedia applications, Victorian students continue to show endless enthusiasm for new technologies and interactive learning opportunities.
To maximise the opportunities new technologies present for teaching and learning, DEECD is developing the KnowledgeBank: Next Generation project.

The KnowledgeBank: Next Generation project includes:
- KnowledgeBank: Next Generation Portal - for easy and ready access to the best quality digital teaching and learning materials
- Evaluation and Research of innovative ways to use new technologies that suit the way today’s students learn, collaborate and network.
This project is delivering on the Department’s Blueprint for Education and Early Childhood Development through unlocking the potential of information communications technology.
