The Research Branch hosted a forum, on 8 December 2006, with Professor Lyn Yates.
Professor Yates is Foundation Professor of Curriculum and Associate Dean of Research and Research Training in the Faculty of Education, The University of Melbourne.
In this forum, Lyn discussed the findings of a qualitative longitudinal study in which she and Julie McLeod followed young people at four Victorian secondary schools every year from the ages of 12 to 18 (a 7 Up type of study). Lyn also draw on the book she co-authored with Julie, Making modern lives: subjectivity, schooling and social change.
