Message from the Regional Director

Welcome to the Grampians region website.

The Grampians region is committed to providing support for all young people to achieve educational outcomes which will prepare them well to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

Our regional office includes staff from the Office of Government School Education and the Office for Children and Portfolio Co-ordination. This provides the region with the opportunity to more closely integrate the work of the Early Childhood Services staff and the school support staff. It is our aim to develop a seamless approach (0-18 years) to the provision of family support and early childhood and education services. We view this as important because the outcomes that young people achieve at age 18 are also dependent upon their experience and learning in the very early years of their lives.

The Grampians region sees the development of partnerships with local government, other State government departments and agencies in the region as important in contributing to a more holistic approach to the 0-18 years' agenda. The website provides information on the key partnerships in which the Grampians region is involved.

Through this website, we aim to provide useful current information to leaders and staff in early childhood and schools, as well as to parents and community. The website provides many relevant links to the DEECD website and also to our partners, regional events and online resources.

We hope you find this website informative, accessible and easy to use.
