Talking Finances: Financial Management for Business Managers and ES staff is a professional development program in financial management developed by the Schools Resource Allocation Branch. The program is presented by experienced practitioners as six half day modules covering: School Level Payroll, Taxation, Budgeting, CASES21 Reporting, Asset Management and Financial Policy and Best Practice.

It is highly recommended that new principals attend tax training sessions to understand the tax implications that schools need to comply with. Alternatively a new principals could contact the DEECD Tax Compliance Unit to request a one-on-one school visit.
