State-wide AGQTP Coordinating Committee

The State-wide AGQTP Coordinating Committee chaired by DEECD oversees the implementation of the three 2006–2009 AGQTP projects and provides an important professional reference group.

The Committee’s roles and responsibilities include:

• Approving the cross sectoral Strategic Plan before it is submitted to DEST;
• Considering and noting the Annual Activity Plans for each of the sectors before they are submitted to DEST;
• Approving the Progress and Annual Reports for each of the sectors;
• Consulting on the targeted priority areas;
• Consulting on the types of activities that will be offered;
• Promoting the AGQTP to their constituents;
• Ensuring teachers have cross-sectoral access to AGQTP activities, particularly teachers in remote areas; and
• Sharing information about successful activities.

Membership of the Coordinating Committee includes representatives from:

• Association of Independent Schools of Victoria
• Australian Education Union
• Victorian Principals Association
• Independent Association of Registered Teachers of Victoria
• Council of Professional Teaching Associations of Victoria

• Victorian Council of Deans of Education
