The School Improvement Activity involves schools where student outcomes are below expected levels and where the school requires support to lead and manage improvement.
Funding is allocated to support customised improvement strategies with a focus on increasing teacher and leadership capacity through professional learning programs that lead to the transformation of practice.
“A significant paradigm shift has undeniably taken place among the Year 7 team. The depth of understanding of teaching and learning evident from the anecdotal responses was extremely powerful and indicates that the pilot program has moved dramatically beyond structural concerns and curriculum development issues to profound understandings of the paradigm shift required to teach students in the 21st century.”
