Regional Professional Learning Support and Grants to Schools

The Regional Professional Learning Support and Grants to Schools Activity focuses on teaching and learning, purposeful teaching, high expectations of all learners, stimulating learning environments and supporting learning communities. The Activity is informed by the Effective Schools Model and the Principles of Highly Effective Professional Learning and will help drive school improvement.

Each of the DEECD Regions have a AGQTP Regional Professional Learning Leader, whose role is to provide direct, immediate and ongoing advice and support to schools in the development and implementation of the professional learning programs that are occurring in their regions.

“This project offered us much more than we first anticipated. We are now working as a whole school in planning and development, we are encouraging more student input into the way they learn, and providing broader opportunities for them to take on leadership roles across the school.”

“The AGQTP funding enabled us to secure the services of knowledgeable, enthusiastic consultants who have a deep understanding of mathematics and a strategic and practical approach to improving teaching and learning.”
