- 18 April The Age publishes Challenge Success Series lift-out in The Sunday Age
- 16 – 22 May Education Week
- 1 June MS Readathon begins (TBC)
- 6 June The Age publishes Challenge Success Series lift-out in The Sunday Age

- 12 July Term 3 begins
- 15 August The Age publishes Challenge Success Series lift-out in The Sunday Age
- 18 August Schools finalise their reading and records from this date to allow time to complete and check data before 31 August
- 21 - 27 August Children’s Book Week (the theme is: across the story bridge)
- 31 August - Reading Challenge ends. The Challenge online application closes. No data can be entered after this date
- August/September National Literacy and Numeracy Week (TBC)
