Equity Guidelines

Research indicates that schools can have a dramatic impact on the learning outcomes of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

For individual students, coming from a low socio-economic background is not necessarily predictive of success or failure.  However achievement levels for many of these students are a cause for concern.

The Equity component of the Student Resource Package aims to provide support for schools with a higher density of students from low socio-economic backgrounds to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.
