To download a School Performance Report, including your School Level Report, go to Performance Reports (principal's edumail login and password required)

Update status

School Level Reports were last updated on Monday 20 April, 2009.

School Level Reports will be updated twice a week, with revised reports available for download by COB Mondays and Wednesdays.  Check this page regularly for the ‘last updated’ date above.

Updating data

Should you find data sets in your School Level Report and/or Core School Performance Indicators Report that are incorrect or incomplete, see Update Instructions for the School Level Report (PDF - 24Kb).

If, after reading the SLR Update Instructions file, you need to supply data using the School Level Report Webforms, see School Level Report Webforms (principal's edumail login and password required)

Note: data supplied using the School Level Report Webforms will be used to update both the School Level Report and the Core School Performance Indicators Report.

Data Interpretation Case Studies

To assist Victorian government school and regional staff in developing their data interpretation skills, we have developed a series of case studies documenting the diagnoses of several schools' strengths and areas for improvement. These case studies are all based on real schools and have been developed with the support, verification and endorsement of each school's leadership team. Importantly, the case studies rely on a combination of data and context to form a comprehensive view of each school's performance - they recognise that data alone cannot tell the story of each school's performance.

Case studies 1 through to 6 were produced in 2006 and deal exclusively with data from the staff, student and parent opinion surveys. Case studies 1 to 6 are presented in a single document that must be printed on A3 paper. If you don't have an A3 printer, staff from Victorian Government Schools can request a copy be posted by emailing staffopinion.survey@edumail.vic.gov.au

Case studies 7 and 8 (also referred to as "Red Primary School" and "Yellow Primary School") make use of the complete set of data provided for Victorian government schools. Case studies 7 and 8 are presented here as zip files, each of which contains a complete set of materials that together make up the case study. Each set of materials includes a "readme" file which should be read first, along with a PowerPoint presentation designed to summarise the data reports. The PowerPoint files include speaking notes.
