Element 4 - Quality Professional Development
Quality Professional Development ensures that professional learning practices are consistent with building a Performance and Development Culture. A focus on professional learning practices that take place in the school and classroom and build staff collaboration around sharing experiences and expertise embed professional learning as a routine practice. Linked to Individual Development Plans Quality Professional Development promotes a shift away from tradition models of professional development such as the ‘one off’ workshops which have often proven to be ineffective in enhancing teacher effectiveness or student outcomes.
