Resources - The Five Elements

Element 2 - Feedback

Feedback data from a variety of sources provides teachers with indicators about their teaching effectiveness. Data collected as part of the school improvement process includes information about student outcomes, student perceptions and parent satisfaction. These data sets can provide benchmarks and rich information to support the development of teachers’ professional practice and improved student outcomes. Structured observation of classroom practice and regular and informed feedback from peers benefits both the practioner who receives the feedback and the observer who learns from seeing a colleague take a lesson.
