Software for Education (S4E)
Netsupport School - Published by Netsupport Limited
With NetSupport School software, teachers and trainers are able to better instruct, monitor and support students in networked classrooms. NetSupport School is being utilized to take control of the influx of computers, both laptop and desktop, in the Federal Governments grants in the 1:1 computer program. The software is widely used by both teachers and IT staff in schools and universities to ensure students are correctly using the IT facilities.
With NetSupport School, teachers and trainers can improve the efficiency of classroom instruction by centrally instructing students on their computer, viewing student screens in real-time, lock screens and keyboards as required to gain attention, keep students on task by monitoring application and web usage, improve support through online help and chat requests, control printer usage, control USB usage, change screen view/student layout according to classroom layout and save time by quickly polling the class and showing instant results. Additional features include handing out and collecting files, real-time audio monitoring, show tutor screen to all or selected students, record tutor screen and audio lesson for future student reference, control instant messaging, co-browse the internet, nominate students as group leaders, and add to student journals. Teachers and Trainers can also record all screen, keyboard and mouse activity on a student workstation to review later or to replay to the class.
With educational budgets under increasing pressure, NetSupport School enables schools, colleges and training institutions to maximize the return from the IT infrastructure already in place. For a full summary of features visit www.pixel.com.au/products/netsupport/school
