MicroWorlds EX is a collection of tools assembled to provide the means you need to do all the types of explorations you can imagine, encouraging children to talk about their ideas, their questions, their strategies for finding answers and a deeper understanding.
Students explore and test their ideas in this idea exploration and project creation environment. MicroWorlds EX is so versatile it can be used to create science simulation, mathematical explorations, interactive multimedia stories and many other projects.
MicroWorlds EX Robotics
Develops problem solving, critical thinking, math and design skills
MicroWorlds EX Robotics comes with all the features of MicroWorlds EX plus full programming capabilities for the Cricket robot, palm sized micro computer, and the LEGO RCX® Brick. With it, your students are scientists and inventors as they plan projects, construct models, and EXPLORE BIG IDEAS.
Whether building airplanes or puppets, cars or toys, students acquire significant science, technology and math skills as they construct and program their models. Students apply math, science and programming ideas in authentic problem-solving activities involving design & construction, improving students understanding of how everyday machines work.
Pricing and Licensing Information
New Licences
If you do not have Microworlds, you will need to initially purchase either a set, a 6 user lab pack or a site licence. Upgrades or trade ups can then be purchased at any time after. A set is a single user copy of the software, a lab pack provides software and licenses for six (6) users and a site license provides software and licenses for an unlimited number of users at a single site school.
