Home | Products and Services for Schools | Products for DEECD Business Units | Products for DEECD Staff

The Department has entered into contracts for the supply of a range of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services that are available for schools, DEECD business units and staff.  Please note that the range of products and applicable terms and conditions may vary between schools, DEECD Business Units and staff.

Information about the products, their pricing and obtaining support is included in the respective pricing schedules.  Please note that suppliers may advise the Department of changes to products and pricing at short notice. Purchasers should check the pricing schedule immediately before placing an order. Availability and delivery time frames should be confirmed with suppliers when ordering, especially where urgent deliveries may be required.

The schedules are attached as Microsoft Word documents – please read the Department’s conditions of use before accessing the schedules.

For a description of the benefits of using the preferred suppliers, please see below.

How the Pricing Schedules operate

Products or services can be ordered directly from the preferred suppliers without the need to separately request quotations or tenders. This is because the Department has already called and fully evaluated public tenders and has obtained all necessary Government approvals for this form of purchasing.

Details and prices are updated regularly to ensure that products and services remain relevant and available at competitive prices.

Benefits of using the preferred suppliers

Use of the Department's preferred suppliers is strongly recommended in view of a number of benefits, including:

  • Competitive pricing, including in most cases a three-year on-site warranty for hardware products
  • Ability to purchase without having to call tenders or obtain additional quotes
  • Provision of a supplier help desk for users
  • Equipment technically evaluated by independent, professional companies
  • Financial viability of suppliers assessed by independent, professional companies
  • Protection provided by the Department's contracts on warranty, pricing and problem resolution issues.

Schools purchasing desktop or notebook computers under the ICT Grants – Increased Access to Schools or the National Secondary Schools Computer Fund (NSSCF) initiatives must use the panels designated for this purpose.

The supplier contracts are based on the Government Information Technology & Communications (GITC) framework and include a range of provisions to protect the Department’s interests.

Where the preferred supplier contracts are not used, it is recommended that the pricing and other terms be used as a benchmark when considering other offers.
