Financial Management Training

The Schools Resource Allocation Branch provides several training opportunities for staff with financial roles and responsibilities in schools.

In 2007, the following programs are offered:

  • Dollars and Sense - 4 x half day modules on a series of finance-related topics aimed at principals and aspiring leading teachers. Business Managers can also attend.
  • Talking Finance - 6 x half day modules aimed at school Business Managers and SSO's to consolidate and reinforce the CASES21 Finance software and the Department of Education's finance policies and procedures.
  • Cluster Information Sharing Sessions - presented by School Finance Liaison Officers (SFLOs) to school Business Managers and SSO's. These usually cover one topic per term, lasting approximately two hours per session.
