Salut Sophie,

Tu viens passer six mois ici en France pour les études: c'est super! Tu as bien choisi les villes: Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Grenoble, Ajaccio. Ce sont des villes très intéressantes. J'espère que tu viendras me voir quand tu seras à Lyon.

Mais attention, le temps en France n’est pas comme en Australie. À Grenoble il fait très froid et il neige en février. À Nantes il pleut beaucoup en mars. À Paris il y a du soleil et il fait du vent en avril. Il y a du soleil à Lyon en juin. En Ajaccio il fait chaud en juillet et il y a beaucoup de soleil.

Je vais t’envoyer des renseignements sur ces villes.

So you're going to study for six months in France: that's great! You've made a good choice of towns to visit: Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Grenoble, Ajaccio. They're very interesting towns. I hope you'll come to visit me when you're in Lyon.

Be careful, the weather in France isn't like in Australia. In Grenoble it's very cold and it snows in February. In Nantes it rains a lot in March. It's sunny and windy in Paris in April. In June it's sunny in Lyon. In Ajaccio it is hot and very sunny in July.

I will send you some information about these towns.
