Digital Story Grants

Digital Story grants have been awarded to schools with some success in transforming teaching and learning practices, and who wish to share their stories.

Digital story telling allows students and teachers to tell their own stories and share their experiences by using simple multimedia software, template or a photo story.

Making It Move - Animation and Claymation (Sandringham Primary School)

In this project, students will produce individual mini movies. The project will provide individual and cooperative learning experiences that will be challenging as well as enable the exploration of interests and talents.

Personalising Learning for 21st Century Learners- Our Ongoing Journey (Bellaire Primary School)

This project will further expand the current work in tracking students' personalised learning at Bellaire Primary School through the ongoing production of digital student learning conferences.

Personalised Learning Digital Portfolios (Dandenong Primary School)

Students will present a reflection of their Primary School experiences, their progress and evaluations of their achievements in the form of a reflective digital portfolio allowing them to visually see their development over time and allowing educators to assess and evaluate their teaching strategies.

The implementation of the Gippsland Literacy Improvement Strategy into a Specialist Setting, and the use of Interactive Whiteboards to improve student learning (Latrobe Special Developmental School)

This project will showcase how the effective strategies used in literacy teaching and learning can be successfully adapted for students in a specialist setting.

Digital Short Story Writing at Junior and Middle School (Lilydale High School)

Students will develop digital short story entries, complete with digital illustrations, in order to engage diverse audiences and raise awareness of different purposes for writing,

Use of Tablets in Art classes (Lilydale High School )

In this project, students will be using graphic tablets as an alternative drawing tool in Arts classes to hone skills which they will then be able to use at a tertiary and industry level.

Students have transferred their light microscope skills to digital where they can store their captured slides to word documents for reporting purposes.
