This project looked at using the inherent power of digital microscopy to stimulate, challenge and engage students. We looked at developing a web resource for teachers through which we could share a comprehensive look at using digital microscopes in the classroom.

The aim of this project was to use technology that students are accustomed to using within an educational setting. In this case it was the creation of podcasts as part of a local community project and using Web 2.0 technologies, such as blogging, for research and communicating with other teachers and students around the world.

Our purpose for producing the Digital Portfolios is to celebrate students’
learning and success and to educate staff and students the use of the necessary
software and hardware.
The Prep team at Heidelberg Primary School (HPS) intended to produce Digital
Portfolios with a small number of students, with a view to introducing Digital
Portfolios next year for all Prep students, then gradually introducing them
across the school.

Everywhere else but in schools, people work play and learn in multi-age situations and environments! Why not in schools? Within an interactive website produced as our Rich Picture Case Study, we are able to demonstrate the academic, social and emotional advantages of a multi-age teaching and learning educational philosophy and class structure.

The aim of our project was to create an interactive website where students could share work, hold discussions and collaborate on projects with students in other schools, and for teachers to have a centralised place for sharing resources, to hold professional discussions and to work on cluster projects.

The aim of this case study is to explore mobile device technology and rich media to enhance student learning and engagement. The project has been targeted primarily at students who have been identified as having learning or behavioural difficulties in the middle to upper primary year levels.

The plan, in collaboration with the arts team at the school, was to create a documentary of the school concert held in Term 3 and incorporate a wider variety of multimedia (digital photos, video, sound) into the Year 5 curriculum. Through a sequential skill based program the students would be introduced to video cameras and movie making software, neither of which have been the focus of our ICT initiatives before.
