Teaching Service
The roles and responsibilities that can be expected of employees in the teaching service are set out below. The roles and responsibilities of positions within the teaching service must be consistent with Schedule 2 of the Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2008 and Schedule 3 of the Victorian Government Schools - School Services Officers Agreement, 2004 as amended on 9 December 2008 (Education Support Class Agreement).
In determining the role and responsibilities of a position it is important to identify the key duties and accountabilities that relate to a position to enable the correct classification within the relevant employment structure. The development of a position description that properly reflects the role and responsibilities of a position is critical to this process.
