Public Service Staff

The Department's Performance Enhancement Cycle (PEC) policy and procedures are consistent with the Victorian Public Service (VPS) Career Structure which is premised on ensuring a flexible, skilled and professional VPS workforce, by maximising individual growth, career opportunities and effective performance management.

The PEC Guidelines for 2009/10 below detail the arrangements that apply to VPS staff in the Department (including Allied Health and Nurses) for progression, performance and development.  Performance development plans for 2009/10 should now be completed using review outcomes for 2008/09 and annual business plans for regions and divisions.

It is important that the PEC Guidelines are read before completing the PEC Performance and Development Plan pro-forma.
