Help for HRWeb
The Human Resources web site provides comprehensive "one-stop-shop" access to the Department of Education's current human resources information.
The Human Resources web site site has a range of options to make it easy for users to find the information they require. These include:
- An A-Z topic list. This is an alphabetical list of all topics on the site.
- Most topics have also been grouped under six broad key activities that are displayed as left navigation items on each page. This enables the user to target topics related these key activities.
- A 'Keyword' search function. Each topic has a number of associated keywords which can greatly assist the operator when searching specific information. In this way the user does not need to know exactly what they are searching for. For example, if the user enters 'leave' through the search facility, the site will return all topics relating to leave. The operator can then choose the specific topic they are after.
- Links to related topics. Each topic will provide links to 'Related Topics' that have a relationship to the topic being viewed.
- Links to supporting documentation. References to supporting documentation are supported by a link that also outlines the size and type of document.
- Some documentation can only be accessed by departmental staff which will require entry of an Edumail username and password when accessing the document. This ensures that confidential information remains in-house.
- Links to appropriate web sites. The Human Resources web site contains many references to other web sites that provide additional information or resources.
- Contact information at the bottom of each topic page to facilitate obtaining additional information where required.
- A list of terms, abbreviations and acronyms used in the Department
Some of the documents on the site are made available for you to download in Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. To view PDF files you will need to download the free reader available from Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/).
