Special Schools Allowance
Teachers employed in a special school or special developmental school setting and visiting teachers are paid a special school allowance.
The allowance is $671 per annum for a teacher employed full time and pro rata for a teacher employed part time. A teacher in receipt of a special schools allowance is entitled to continue to receive the allowance for the first calendar month while on paid leave.
