Student Teacher Practicum Scheme
A financial incentive is available to student teachers in their final or penultimate year of a pre-service teaching course to undertake practicum placements in Victorian government rural and outer metropolitan schools.
The Student Teacher Practicum Scheme provides school communities with the opportunity to participate in the training of student teachers and, in turn, exposes student teachers to the opportunities available in rural and outer metropolitan schools.
Participating student teachers will require the principal of their placement school to complete the confirmation section of their application form. It is recommended that this is done early in the placement to enable prompt and timely payment to be made to the student teacher.
