Contract of Employment
Principal, assistant principal, executive class and VPS executive positions are tenured for up to five years and an individual is required to enter a contract of employment on appointment to one of these positions. The period of the contract of employment will be clearly specified at the time of the employment offer. Employees may be reappointed to positions in accordance with the relevant provisions of their contracts of employment.
Revised procedures for principal contract renewal were introduced in May 2010 and can be accessed under 'Procedures and Forms' below. The revised process only applies in relation to principal contracts. The arrangements for other employees in the principal class are under review.
