Hazard alerts are information sheets developed by the Department's Employee Health Unit to highlight workplace health and safety hazards that require immediate warning of potential danger to Department employees. These information sheets are designed to provide concise information in relation to serious incidents that have occurred in Department workplaces as a result of a particular hazard. These hazards if left untreated present a significant risk to departmental employees. Hazard alert information sheets provide guidance in relation to appropriate procedures, practices and controls that should be implemented if the hazard is applicable to your workplace. Hazard alerts can be printed off and posted in appropriate areas of the workplace e.g. Health and Safety Notice Board.
