The Department has commenced a WorkCover Claims Advisory Service to assist principals with the management of complex WorkCover claims.
This service is designed to improve return to work outcomes for employees by ensuring that principals can access timely injury management and return to work advice from the Department’s WorkCover claims advisory consultant at the time the employee suffers the work related illness or injury.
The Advisory Service can provide principals with prompt WorkCover claims and return to work management guidance, ‘just in time training’ and support for the management of the more complex ‘time lost’ WorkCover claims.
Belinda Owen is the Department’s WorkCover Claims Advisory Consultant. Belinda has a broad experience in the areas of injury management, rehabilitation and Worker’s Compensation Claims management.
