Student Safety
Critical Incidents
The Victorian Government is committed to providing safe and supportive learning environments for all students. Effective schools create learning environments that deliver the best possible educational outcomes for all students and ensure the creation of strong school communities.
Government agencies, including the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Victoria Police, the Department of Human Services and the Child Safety Commissioner, are working closely together to ensure there is an integrated and effective approach to children and young people’s safety and wellbeing.
For information on the protecting children protocol, see Child Protection.
