School Description

Eltham North Primary School is a medium sized, well resourced school, located one kilometre north of the township of Eltham Central. The school is in a quiet residential suburb with a native bush setting. Our core purpose is “to provide an inclusive, rigorous learning environment that challenges and engages young people to grow as passionate learners who are connected and motivated, creative and independent, demonstrating social action and values, leadership, respect, resilience and self esteem when interacting with the community”. Our core values are expressed in the school motto, ‘Growing, Discovering, Creating Together’.

Student Support Services

Our school based educational psychologist, support teachers, integration aides and speech therapists provide significant welfare, literacy, language and numeracy support and extension programs. The school is also supported by a regional educational psychologist, speech therapist, and the visiting teacher service.

Special Facilities

Community outside school hours care centre, instrumental music rooms, library and information communications lab. Extensive landscaping provides a range of active and passive play areas with four adventure playground zones, a greenhouse, propagation and vegie garden
