Practice Notes

Children's services practice notes are policy information sheets that are designed to assist children's services by setting out the department's approach to the requirements of the Children's Services Act 1996 and the Children's Services Regulations 1998.

Practice notes will be reviewed as amendments to the Children's Services Act 1996 and Children's Services Regulations 1998 are introduced in 2009.

New practice notes will be added to this page as they are developed.

Please contact a children's services adviser at your regional office of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development if you require more information on a topic that is not available on this site. (see Regional Offices practice note)
