Practice Guides

The practice guides have been developed to provide practical advice for early childhood professionals about each of the practice principles in the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. 

Each guide includes examples of practice from a range of early childhood professionals across a range of settings. The Department would like to thank all the early childhood professionals who contributed to the guides.

Four guides are now available for download. The remaining four guides will be available in mid 2012.

Evidence Papers

The evidence papers document research on each practice principle in the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

Each paper describes what the practice principle is; why it’s important to teaching and learning; how professionals engage in best-practice; and the implications for best practice.
