Maternal and Child Health Line

The Maternal and Child Health Line is a 24-hour, 7 day a week telephone service available to families with children, from birth to school age, throughout Victoria.

The Maternal and Child Health Line is staffed by qualified maternal and child health nurses who provide information, support and advice regarding child health, nutrition, breast feeding, maternal and family health and parenting.

They are able to connect culturally and linguistically diverse families to female interpreters from the Translating Interpreter Service.

They are also available to connect hearing or speech impaired callers who have access to the National Relay Service (NRS).
