Checkpoint 1.10 - Wikis

Include a skip text block link immediately before any lengthy block of complex text

WCAG 1.0 Priority 3

WCAG Guideline 13. Provide clear navigation mechanisms.

Wiki entries are rich sources of information on a topic, which can be presented to the view in a number of different formats, such as blocks of text, tables, graphs, etc. Users of assistive technologies are forced to navigate through blocks of complex text or components unless they are given the option of skipping over them.

Requirement

All lengthy blocks of complex text must be preceded by a Skip text block link.

Checking Tool

View the wiki entry in the browser to ensure that visible Skip text block links are provided appropriately.
