Checkpoint 11.3 - Core

Artwork files have been provided to the site owner

DEECD Requirement

DEECD Guideline

All images appearing on a web site have been created using a graphics application. Modifications to these graphics are best made in the original artwork file, as opposed to manipulating a final, exported image e.g. gif or jpg, and saving it as a new image. This will result in maintaining the consistency of fonts, sizes, highlighting and other graphical specifications.

Requirement

All artwork used to create the images on the web site must be maintained on the development server in the /artwork subdirectory directly below the site root. This subdirectory is not put up on the live server. To maintain the integrity of these files this subdirectory is not available for modification by users outside the Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration Unit.

All artwork files must be supplied to KSCU by the external developer when the web site is handed over to KSCU.

Checking Tool

Check the directory structure in the WebCMS to ensure that the /artwork subdirectory contains all artwork files.
