Checkpoint 1.7 - RSS
Colour and colour contrast have been considered
WCAG 1.0 Priority 2
WCAG Guideline 2. Don't rely on color alone.
Colours that do not contrast sufficiently can make the web page difficult or impossible to read when used together. Older users or those with some form of colour blindness might find it hard to read a text where foreground and background colour combinations are similar in tone. In addition, some technologies, such as overhead projectors, use a reduced palette to display web pages, so pages with insufficient contrast between their components may become unusable.
Requirement
The web page is usable with javascript disabled.
Recommendation
Ensure that foreground and background colour combinations provide sufficient contrast when viewed by someone having colour deficits or when viewed on a black and white screen.
