Checkpoint 2.2 - Mobile-PDA

Lists of links have been used for navigation

WCAG 1.0 Priority 3

WCAG Guideline 13. Provide clear navigation mechanisms.

The input mechanisms, which are available to mobile device users from the keyboard or keypad, are not easy to use for lengthy data input. Where navigation is catered for by having the links grouped together and presented one after the other, the user can more easily arrow through the list to make a selection instead of alternating navigation through text and links.

Requirement

Lists of links have been used for navigation

Recommendation

Ensure that each link is clearly separated by a space or a delimiter so users are clear what the links are and when they have the focus of the mobile device for selection.

Checking Tool

View the page in a mobile device and verify that links are grouped together for easier navigation.
