Mobile devices are constrained by the time taken to download content from the server and by the size of the screen, amongst other things. Images take up both screen space and download time, and also require a separate call to the server for each image, which can cost the user more in terms of money and time. Use of images should be considered in the construction of mobile pages.

Consider the visual impact of each image and spend effort on good design of available images instead of providing many, poor-quality images.
