Support organisations for early childhood services

The Department of Education and Training recognises the importance of services having access to support at all times, and has a number of funding agreements with peak bodies to provide consultant, telephone and email advice to support services.

Early Learning Association Australia

The Department funds the Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) to assist service providers receiving kindergarten funding to operate in accordance with good governance and sound operation and management principles, with a particular focus on meeting the requirements of the NQF. The support is provided through an advisory service (telephone and email), online and face-to-face training, resource materials, and intensive support to service providers with complex management issues. ELAA provide a free comprehensive introduction to the roles and responsibilities of committees of management, and are funded to provide advice to kindergarten service providers on preparing budgets.
