Teacher Graduate Recruitment Program - Are you eligible?
Teacher Graduate Recruitment program vacancies are only open to recent teaching graduates. You are considered a graduate if you have qualified as a teacher, graduated in the last four years and are not employed as a teacher by the Department at the time of the commencement of the employment.
If you are a graduate you are eligible for employment as a teacher on the provision of evidence of course completion, through the presentation of an official academic record of your four-year tertiary study program that includes an approved course of teacher training. Principals may make a provisional offer on the clear understanding that you will need to present evidence of your completed qualifications and registration before your employment can be confirmed and you commence teaching.
All teachers, including prospective teachers, must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. If you are successful you will also be required to satisfy Department pre-employment requirements before commencing employment.
